Beer-tation

Day 26 of not eating gluten and, unfortunately, no yoga today...

This week has flown by and I feel like I never really slowed down...hence the no yoga today.  I came home from work and had about a hour before class and I could not find the mental or physical energy to rush around and get myself into the hot room.  I really just needed a few hours where there was no RUSHING.  I know that may come as a surprise to many since I am typically a go-go-go kind of person but every once in a while us doers need to press "stop" immediately.  That's what tonight was all about.  Yes, now I have to do two doubles but I am kind of looking forward to that challenge, and this relaxing evening was exactly what I needed! Sarah and I went to Hop Doddy because I was craving a burger and I knew they had gluten free buns.  Tonight was the first time I've been tempted by a gluten-filled beer--they have all of those local tasty ones on tap! It was pretty torturous not to be able to indulge in one of my favorite local heffes!  I was grateful that they use Bona Dea buns for their burgers, but my mouth was watering over Sarah's gluten-heavy bun! Check out Bona Dea, though, because they are doing a Kickstarter project and have great reasons and a meaningful purpose!

We finished off the night watching "Friends with Benefits" while drinking Bedtime tea to try and help with this sore throat I am feeling.  Oh, the joys of working with snotty and coughing kids!

My quote: "When you are in tune with the unknown, the known is peaceful."

I've been grateful to have this relaxing evening to recharge! Maybe my yoga practice has given me some insight into finding relaxation, and allowing myself to enjoy it fully! Feeling more ready than ever to hit that hot room tomorrow!

  1. When I did the challenge last year, I also had a burger craving right in the middle of it!
